Available for Adoption
Welcome to our adoption page, below you will find a list of animals we have available in our foster program. Currently, our foster program is fairly small so we will only have a limited amount of animals available at one time. First step, is to find an animal you would like to meet, click the button to send us an email so we can arrange a meeting with our fosters in a public location. If you like the animal after the introduction we will then have you fill out the adoption paperwork and begin the adoption process. Parker
Hello, my name is Parker but my foster mom thinks my name should have been named Butters because once you start petting me I start to melt into your hands. I really enjoy my foster sister Clementine and would love a home with another dog or a few kids to love and play with me. I will cuddle with you in bed but I am also content with laying in a dog bed on the floor. My foster mom takes me to the office a few days a week and I absolutely love going to work and giving all the employees a break while they pet me.
I am house trained and know how to use a dog door. I have a microchip and was neutered but that was not my choice. I am just under 50lbs and have been classified as a pit-bull mix however, some people think I may have some Rhodesian Ridgeback in me. I love kids, other dogs, and people, I haven't been tested with cats but I am willing to meet one to see if we could be pals.
Back in 2020, I was found on the streets of New Mexico picked up by animal control and taken to a kill shelter. I spent over 30 days alone, cold, and scared. The shelter was getting full and I was scared that I may never get out of there until I was saved by the Noah James Foundation. Friends of Roswell gave me a ride to my foster home where my foster family helped me to find a family to make my own and in record time.
My new family was great, I was delivered on Christmas Morning. It was the best moment. They had a mom and a dad and four kids to love me. The baby was one years old and became my best friend. For three years everything was perfect. With a new baby on the way we moved into a new bigger home.
The new house had a communal backyard with no fences. Every time I went outside without a leash I took it upon myself to go see the whole neighborhood. I got my mom and dad in trouble. So they tried to tie me up while I was outside, I did not like it at all. Next we tried seeing if my older sister would let me move in with her but she worked all the time and only had a studio apartment. My family and I had a rough talk and decided to reach out to the Noah James Foundation to see if they would honor their return policy to allow me to come back to them for any reason.
Now I am back with the Noah James Foundation and we are working on my running. I don't run all the time but when I smell a bunny I forget all the work I have been putting into being a good dog. I do not just bolt out the front door like some dogs do. When I am told I am not going out front I sit down like a good boy and acknowledge that this is not the outing for me. I am asking that my next family be patient and continue to work with me.
